I'm a huge fan of April's work and these images don't disappoint. I only wish I could stand in the gallery face to face with them. I wouldn't be opposed to owning one either! Anyone in the vacinity should get themselves to the museum and report back. I'm hoping to own another catalog as they are, truly, images to behold.

I wish April Gornik would show on the West Coast. I'm a fan too and I've yet to see any of her work face to face - which mmust be a wonderful experience due to their scale. Apparently there is one at the Weisman Museum of Art in Malibu.
Thanks for the Heckscher Museum link! I thought it was really interesting about the museum removing a false ceiling to make room for larger work.
I agree that it would be nice to see a west coast show of April's work. I've only ever seen one or two paintings at a time included in group exhibitions and generally that was in New York.
They are every bit as wonderful as you would expect them to be. The size and light are all encompassing and consuming. Sublime.
