Roughing in new mountain image, dreaming of the snow and rain shower those clouds dropped during the winter last year. It wasn't much but it was glorious all the same. It made the plants perk up and give a great show of sparkling color as they drank in the moisture.

California Dreaming in Southern California

Thanks to Mary-Austin Klein for getting images of the California Dreaming exhibition at the Oceanside Museum of Art before it closes and moves to the Riverside Museum. It is a juried show that debuted in Italy before returning to California for it's 10 months on So Cal walls. It will reopen in Riverside at the end of April with a reception on May 7, 2015. Today I'm working in the Utah Desert, visiting Hite Country in my studio while listening to audible books. It sure feels like the desert with this early heat.

...well, trying to be. Plenty of distractions to go around this fall and not enough time in the studio. Still.... I'm working this week and starting new paintings for upcoming deadlines. These are just the first pass, getting the drawings right before really diving in.
